(29 January 2010)— Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood drove the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Koup to its first GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race finish for Kinetic Motorsports on Friday at Daytona International Speedway as the new Street Tuner (ST) class machine made a debut appearance in GRAND-AM competition.
The race outing marked the first exposure to the new Kia Koup for the 2007 Champions Burrows and Hopwood, and after quickly getting familiar with some new faces at Kinetic Motorsports as part of the teams expanded program to support the Kia effort, the new machine, and the new Continental Tire, the two were back in typical fast form in practice and qualifying on Thursday ahead of Friday’s 2.5-hour race event. LAS VEGAS (Nov. 3, 2009) – The all-new 2010 Kia Forte Koup’s motto – “One Hot Ride” – took on a new meaning today as Kia Motors America (KMA) unveiled its U.S. motorsports program at the 2009 SEMA Show. KMA has teamed with the Kinetic Group to build and campaign two Forte Koups in the 2010 GRAND-AM KONI Sports Car Challenge Series in the Street Tuner (ST) class.
