Burrows and Hopwood Take Kia to the Finish at Daytona

(29 January 2010)— Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood drove the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Koup to its first GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race finish for Kinetic Motorsports on Friday at Daytona International Speedway as the new Street Tuner (ST) class machine made a debut appearance in GRAND-AM competition.

The race outing marked the first exposure to the new Kia Koup for the 2007 Champions Burrows and Hopwood, and after quickly getting familiar with some new faces at Kinetic Motorsports as part of the teams expanded program to support the Kia effort, the new machine, and the new Continental Tire, the two were back in typical fast form in practice and qualifying on Thursday ahead of Friday’s 2.5-hour race event. Burrows and Hopwood Ready for Kia Debut at Daytona

(25 January 2010)— A new car,  a new team, and the dawn of a brand new racing season have Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood looking forward to the Fresh From Florida 200 as the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Championship kicks off at Daytona International Speedway this Friday.

The duo, who took the 2007 Street Tuner (ST) class Championship in their rookie season (2007) and made a run to second in the 2008 championship standings to follow up that effort, have been signed to race the Kia Forte Koup for Kinetic Motorsports as the Buford, Georgia-based organization has been tapped to campaign the factory effort for the Korean automaker.

Kia.Kinetic.04LAS VEGAS (Nov. 3, 2009) – The all-new 2010 Kia Forte Koup’s motto – “One Hot Ride” – took on a new meaning today as Kia Motors America (KMA) unveiled its U.S. motorsports program at the 2009 SEMA Show. KMA has teamed with the Kinetic Group to build and campaign two Forte Koups in the 2010 GRAND-AM KONI Sports Car Challenge Series in the Street Tuner (ST) class.

Tire Troubles at Trois Rivieres for Burrows and Hopwood

Trois Rivieres, Que (15 August 2009)—With a concrete-lined lap that’s both challenging and rewarding, a large and passionate crowd on hand, and an impressive record of success on the track, Trevor Hopwood and Adam Burrows love racing at Trois Rivieres.

And after winning the 2008 event on their way to taking second place in the KONI Challenge Championship, the two were looking forward to round nine of the 2009 Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge and the Grand Prix du Trois Rivieres in Quebec.

Having qualified the No. 198 RSR Motorsports -prepared Fischer Skis MINI Cooper fifth on the ST Class grid, Burrows took the green flag from behind the wheel for a quick opening stint before turning the controls over to Hopwood, who returned to the track in 15th position.

Picture 1Mini dealerships in the United States will grow by 17 stores during the next 18 months for a total of 100, Mini USA said Monday, as the company marks 50 years since the first Mini rollout in England.

Most of the new dealerships will be located in cities or areas that will be new markets for the brand.
